Series Review: Dragon Planet Romance Trilogy

Runaway Dragonette
Dragon Planet Romance Book 1
by Lynne Murray
Genre: Paranormal Romance

When the Dragon King demands that Princess Verity choose a romantic
partner from 26 dragon shapeshifters, she’s not allowed to say,
“No.” But she has to.
Verity must escape her father’s romance plans for her, but it won’t be
easy with cameras broadcasting her every move and the whole Dragon
Planet watching.
Meanwhile on Earth, Ryan, a tech industry millionaire, loves dragons more than
anything in the real world. He has moved back to his home town to run
a dragon-centered bookstore. When a portal misfire lands Verity in
Ryan’s store, the attraction is instant and irresistible.
Ryan jumps at the chance to compete to win Verity’s hand. The Dragon
King allows it. He doesn’t expect a computer nerd human to survive
a competition with fire-breathing dragonshifters.
Can Ryan win the dragon princess’s hand by defeating a pack of hulking,
jealous, firebreathing dragon men who don’t play fair? Will Verity
be able to save her true mate from death by dragon fire?

My Review

Book one was a little bit difficult to get into. I mean, it was difficult for me to understand the entire dragon system or if the people knew about the existence of a dragon planet or not. The beginning was not that good. But once you move past it, the idea is pretty amazing and unique – at least I have not read any romance stories between half-dragons and humans.

We have our dragonette, looking for something more than dragon wings and flames in her mate. Her father has set up the entire scheme of a TV show, at the end of which she is supposed to select a mate, aka someone who can make sure the king has nephews. Because the king was so focused on one thing only, it made easier for me to understand what Verity went through.

As for Ryan, because of the not so good beginning, I thought his only feelings towards the princess were curiosity and awe because of his obsession with dragons, not because she was as beautiful and as smart as she seemed in that TV show. But later on, I started to like him.

All in all, ”Runaway Dragonette” was an acceptable beginning to a very interesting and original series. If it were not for the first pages telling Ryan’s story, I would have increased my rated one star. For now, I’m sticking with 3.5.

Bachelor Dragon Blues
Dragon Planet Romance Book 2

Can the love of an Earth woman save a dragonshifter from the
ticking time bomb inside?
The Dragon Planet hails Jevrath as a war hero for a military action that
wounded him. No one knows that spy bots invaded his wound during the
battle. They track his every move. They can kill him at will. The
only threat Jevrath knows about is the Dragon King’s vow to force
him into a planetary romance show, to publicly select a dragonshifter
mate. Jevrath refuses and heads for Earth for a vacation. Then Beth,
a human woman, walks through the door of the resort bar and his world
will never be the same.
Beth’s dream is to work with endangered species, but who knew they would be
so sizzling hot? She needs a weekend away from her lab tech job and
her lecherous boss. When she walks into the resort bar and sees tall,
dark, commanding Jevrath, her dreams seem about to come true—along
with her worst nightmares. She can have a lab of her own on the
Dragon Planet, if she pretends to go along with the televised romance
show. But her desires for Jevrath go dangerously beyond pretending.
Can the devotion of a dragon man sustain Beth in the face of 26
firebreathing dragon women who don’t mind killing for love?

My Review

“Bachelor Dragon Blues” brings more to the story than “Runaway Dragonette”. By this second book, I was already familiar with the concepts and knew I should expect extraordinary dragons. The author created a very nice background this time, a much more interesting background. That made me more and more intrigued.

Javerath has no plans in spending more time than needed on Earth, but little did he know that his visit will end up being much more than that. He is offered a small escape from his already stressful life and he offers the same in exchange. When Beth confesses her problem with her boss, his protective instincts kick in. Now the question is: Will Beth be able to handle dragon women? And will she be able to secure Jeverath’s heart?

Definitely I liked this book better than the previous one. Main reason is that the characters have a little more depth and that the action flows a little bit more in sync with what it should be expected from a short story. It felt more natural and better planed in a way. We cme back to the TV show, where this time a bachelor needs to select its mate, but this time, the badass dragon-ladies show their wings and flames.

Loved it quite a lot, 4 clean stars – or flames, or little dragon babies. Ok, you got the idea!

Billionaire Dragon’s Secretary
Dragon Planet Romance Book 3

Jill is kidnapped by a lying, cheating dragonshifter and stuck on the
Dragon Planet. Romance with a dragon is the last thing on her mind.
She only wants to earn enough to pay for a ticket back to Earth, but
her billionaire dragon shifter boss sets her senses on fire, and he’s
trying to give her every reason to stay. Targon, “the Gold
Whisperer,” fiercely guards his heart and his hoard until his new
secretary, Jill arrives. Instantly he recognizes her as his True
Mate. How can a dragonshifter convince an angry Earth woman to trust
him when he doesn’t trust himself?

My Review

Oh, book 3 is even better! Ok, I feel the need to make a short summary of the series until now. We had Bachelorette Verity, who’s heart was gain by a human, then we had Bachelor Javerath, who’s heart was lost to a human earlier than the TV show could start and now…. Who’s the prize?

“Billionaire Dragon’s Secretary” is even better than the other there in the series. That is mostly because this time the characters feel more on an even ground than in the other books. Even if Jill lands up on the Dragon Planet against her will, she knows what to expect and she knows exactly what she wants: to get back home to Earth. So while she unleashes her emotions on her dragon boss, Taragon must stand tall and guard himself.

This time, the dragon is almost bossed around by the human. An even fresher angle to the dragon shape shifter story,  the third book brings us even better characters and a much much better plot. Or maybe it’s just me, liking these type of romances better. But definitely, the background of the characters goes way deeper and their story needs more analysis.

I’m still going with 4 stars, even if when comparing to the other two, I liked this one best!

Overall Opinion

As for the overall series, I loved it very much. It is a refreshing approach, it has romance and dragons – two of my addictions! I would have wanted more background on the Dragon Planet and to understand more their relationship with earth and the other way around. But other than that, I only have good words.

The plot gets better and better, the characters become even more interesting with every book you read and that’s proof of a great writer! Can’t wait to read more by Lynne Murray

My Review

These past days I have read so many great books, I feel I cannot stop. Every book I read makes me jump immediately to the next, as they are so great and I cannot wait to discover what the next one is about.

“Starburst” is such an amazing journey towards discovering one’s origins, fighting for a legacy and for love. This is a book that speaks of determination, of strength and friendship. I loved it so, so much! This is one story full of everything your heart may desire.

Nova is looking for her origins. Her strange abilities intrigue her more and more. She is trying to cope with all these changes as best as she can and lucky for her, she has a friend in Nash. With his help, she finds the courage to face her nightmares, she finds the courage to search for her past, so she can build a real future.

We have action all the way, from beginning till end. We have unexpected situations which will test Nova at every step. It is a book that keeps you wanting for more with every page that is turned. There is no doubt what’s at stake and we see our main character evolve and become so much more. She deals with a lot, she is afraid and she has images that always come back to haunt her. Somehow, she needs to know the truth.

I liked this first installment, as it is not an exaggeration of events, it has plot and amazing characters. This is another series I need to keep my eye out! 5 stars and I cannot wait to read more!

My name is KAE Galla and I’ve loved writing since before I knew how. I’d
sit with my mom and grandma telling them exactly what I wanted my
story to be, and they would write it down under misshapen scribbles I
tried to pass off as art work. It wasn’t until years later that I
finally decided to go full throttle with my passion and share it with
the world. Now, thanks to the support of my loving family, great
friends, and an amazing team, my dream of becoming an author are
reality. My heart is in Paranormal Romance, and Romance in general,
but I love challenging myself and broadening my horizons so you can
bet there is more to come!

Book Review: The Enigma of a Widow

The Enigma of a Widow
The Widows of Aristocracy Book 2
by Linda Rae Sande
Genre: Historical Regency Romance

Having lost her husband in the Battle of Ligny, Lady Lydia Barrymore is
determined to resume her work for the Foreign Office when her
mourning period is over. She’s spent a year solving puzzles and
assembling dissected maps to maintain her skills. Her first
assignment has her perplexed, though – do what she must to help a
fellow operative recover his sanity. Although she finds the man
rather beautiful, Sir Donald has also proved most annoying.
Newly knighted Adonis Truscott returned from the Continent with a tendency
to get lost in his thoughts. His frequent episodes of staring into
space have his sister claiming he’s a candidate for Bedlam – and he’s
not about to argue. He doesn’t always remember where or when he was
when he recovers, but he remembers he made a promise, and he’s
determined to keep it. A promise to provide protection for Lydia,
whether she wants it or not.
When a puzzle’s directions require Lydia to solve it with the help of
Adonis, she discovers the man harbors secrets that may be impossible
to reveal. With her own sanity in jeopardy – a year-long mystery
involving her late husband may be more annoying and dangerous than an
errant knight – Lydia will have to piece together a solution that
suits them both in The Enigma of a Widow.

My Review

I loved this book a lot! I saw a strong woman, with a quick mind and always up for a challenge. I felt her ambition to succeed in all her tasks and missions and for that, I am so very pleased with what I’ve read!

Again this is one of those series I never start from the beginning because… that’s me! But I never felt outside of the plot, I never missed anything from the action in “The Enigma of a Widow” by not reading the other book in the series. However, it would have been nice. Because the writing is beautiful and the characters are so well built!

Ok, the action is summarized very well in the plot. We have a combination of Romance and…. Anything our heart may desire, in the limits of romance. The author wanted to give a little bit of everything and mixed it all up beautifully. She created a background for each of them, giving us a feel of their emotions, prior to their meeting.

And because I’m getting to the characters and their stories, Adonis and his PTSD are so well captured, as well as Lydia’s attitude and her reaction towards his emotions and needs. She is not a woman that gets scared easily and she is not one to back away from a challenge. For that, I respect and admire her.

All in all, this was such a lovely read and a great way to pass the time. Suffice to say I’ve read it in one day – such is the grip of a good story! I hope you’ll enjoy it as well 🙂 5/5 stars!

Series Review: The Summer Sisters Trilogy

Blessed Be
The Summer Sisters Book 1
byTeresa Keefer
Genre: Paranormal Romance

Alana Summers was quite content with her life. A peaceful farm tucked in a
wooded area by the lake with her pets for company. A shop in the
small tourist town where she sells a potpourri of items that reflect
everything about her. She’s at peace. She’s Wiccan.
Logan Farmer is the local sheriff. Small town boy who went to the big city
and joined the police force. Then he came home where he belonged. He
is deeply rooted in his Native American heritage.
Both had grown up knowing that there was more to the world that could be
explained or seen. But neither of them knew that their peaceful lives
could be disrupted in an instant by a legend long buried. A tale that
had been told to them by Logan’s grandmother when they were young
along with a warning that the ancient legend could replay during
their lifetime.
But was it really an ancient paranormal evil come to roost or were the
recent events merely the doings of a warped human mind? Or had the
human’s events shaped the return of the evil?

My Review

“Blessed Be” has a little bit of everything I like. It has witches, romance, evil invading a peaceful town, that mystery building up as the page turns and that need to find out what will happen next. I loved this first book a lot!

Alana and Logan lead a quiet and nice life in their small town, having a good relationship with neighbors and fellow townspeople. She has a small shop with anything that would make your home more inviting and some casual remedies and incantations here and there. Logan is the local authority, always making sure the people feel safe and that unwanted gossip is stopped quickly. All this until something strange happens and all signs indicate that evil is back in town. Legend, witchcraft and much, much more will come together and form this beautiful beautiful book!

The interactions between our main characters are so beautiful and genuine. They even start to wonder when have their feelings become more than friendship. I loved them a lot, I loved how each used their own influence to protect one another and I loved how they manage to find the strength and the legacy they had inside.

Speaking of beautiful, the entire atmosphere in the book moves from warmth and welcoming to cold and potentially dark, once the evil starts coming. I loved how the author made the transition in these scenes and how she built up the tension. The characters are also well presented and described and even from the beginning we get a glimpse of what is waiting for us in the next books.

All in all, I loved book 1 and I am so so lucky I have review copies for the other two books. This is my first read by Teresa Keefer and I am very excited to check out more of her books! Now, excuse me, while I go finish more of The Summer Sisters!

Threefold
The Summer Sisters Book 2

Teagan Summers has a secret that she thought she had tucked away forever.
That is, until she was summoned to her home town of Lakewood to help
with banishing an ancient evil that had come to pay a visit to the
sleepy town. Then, she was faced with another woman whose secret
wasn’t so secret anymore.
Devon Brock knew he had to help his friend, Logan Farmer. Logan had helped
him out too many times to turn his back and say no. However, he
didn’t realize that he would be called upon to pull out his law
license to defend a poor woman who had killed and mutilated her
husband on Halloween night. And he sure never expected to have to
deal with spoiled Teagan Summers as part of it.
Devon and Teagan join forces as they work valiantly to not only defend a
murderess, but to help Teagan’s sisters and Logan Farmer as they
battle an unseen evil that threatens to destroy the small town of
Lakewood. And as they work together, they also form a tentative truce
that they both know could lead to more.

My (partial) Review

Ok, a disclosure first: I am half way (actually exactly half way) through this book, so my review will focus now on what I’ve read so far, with the promise of coming back with a more detailed opinion.

“Threefold” follows the action from Book 1, but brings us another sister, with a completely different personality. If from her presentation in “Blessed Be”, I did not like her so much, now we get to know the inside of her story and why Teagan is so …. Complicated.

We have the same incredible atmosphere, topped with a difficult relationship and with charqacters that apparently cannot stand each other. Teagan and Devon will have to overcome their dislikes and work together. Two very stubborn people with a common goal.

So far I like it a lot, I have no clue what’s  happening here and I am so anxious to finish it! I still have to read Book 3, which makes me happy that I still have some good time left enjoying this series. After giving “Blessed Be” 5 stars, “Threefold” does seem to go in the same direction. We’ll see.

Namaste
The Summer Sisters Book 3

Riana Summers had spent most of her adult life trying to find herself. The
youngest of the three Summer Sisters, she just couldn’t resist sowing
her wild oats and she had done it across the country. When her
sister, Alana, had summoned her to come home to Lakeview because she
was needed to do her part to hunt down and destroy an evil entity
which had been playing havoc on her hometown, she did so with the
intention of returning to her stand-up comedy gig in Las Vegas. She
had no idea her brief trip home would turn to months and that she
would end up finding out who she really was. Or that she would find
herself face to face with a man who could get her to want to settle down.
Eric Michaels had been born and raised to be a farmer. It was what he did
best. So, when the opportunity to be the foreman at a farm near a
place called Lakeview, he had jumped at the chance. What he hadn’t
planned on was getting sucked into a paranormal nightmare. Things he
couldn’t even begin to fathom. Including finding himself deeply
attracted to a woman who could create magic with the tips of her
fingers.
As the conclusion of the Summer Sisters trilogy comes to an end, will
they be able to destroy the force that had unearthed itself from its
deep dark grave to destroy them?

with a family pact. This BWWM romance features alpha men, strong
women, and a family defined by love not blood.

My Review

A super short and quick read, “Yuki’s Luck” is trying to change a little bit the roles. Yuki is a woman with childhood issues that keep her away from committing to a relationship, even if it is with the one and only guy she had ever had feelings for.

This time, the girl is “the player”, or at least more of a player that Dylan. He has only ever wanted her, he has held on to the hope of someday being with Yuki and making her “his girl”. If they will succeed or not, it remains to be seen.

Now, I have nothing against short stories, if they have the proper balance between length and plot development. I wanted more things to happen, or at least I wanted to feel more tension, more angst. But we have good characters and good writing, so I am really pleased with the time spent with this book. Oh, and speaking about characters, Yuki is career focused. She is a workaholic, trying to prove herself in a men’s world. I loved this about her and another reason that pushed me to finish the book was to see what would happen with her job. Read it to find out J

All in all, great start, even if I wanted a bit more from the plot. I have a feeling that the next books will be even better from what we learn in “Yuki’s Luck”.  Until next time, happy reading!

to learn many things important to her master, Malcom Donald, captain
to the Donald laird. Now she must choose between destroying the man
she loves and saving the sister being held hostage by Malcolm.
PREVIOUSLY PUBLISHED AS TREASURES OF SKYE

My Review

Sometimes, I have my doubts when reading such short stories. At least, I am more exigent and always comparing length against the overall story. I was very pleased to see that “Passion” is well balanced when it comes to this. We have action and characters that are well created.

The reader is pushed directly into the story, in the middle of a battle. We don’t need character descriptions, we feel the strength and the power they emanate. Laird Caeleb MacLeod is leading his men with strength and determination. His weakness? Probably his heart through his love for Gwendolyn. We have betrayal, we have doubts and a very strong woman who is a spy!

I won’t get into the plot very much, as you’ll have to discover it line by line. I am sorry that we did not get to see the conclusion to the war between the clans, but I think it is included in another book by Tarah Scott. For now, 4 stars for book 1 in this series.

Redemption
Highland Brides of Skye Book 2

For years, master thief Helena Donald has lived at Glenwood Abbey and
submitted to Malcolm Donald’s bidding. Desperate to break free of
his control, Helena agrees to steal the MacLeod Faire Flag for
Malcolm for she intends to sell the flag and start a new life far
from Malcom. When Helena is caught in a blizzard, she prefers to die
in the cold wasteland rather than return to the abbey.
Kaden MacLeod has chosen a solitary life in a cabin on the shore of Loch
Haven. But a woman’s scream during a raging snowstorm sends him
racing to rescue Helena from the frigid waters of the frozen loch.
When he learns that this beautiful young woman is about to commit the
same crime for which his father, Laird MacLeod, hung Kaden’s
younger brother, he’ll stop at nothing to prevent her from facing a
similar fate.

My Review

“Redemption” brings us another strong leader and another strong woman. The same question arises: is the beautiful woman lost in the woods a friend or a foe of the MacLeods?

Kaden MacLeod has chosen a life of solitary in the depths of the wood, until one day when he saves Helena Donald’s life. I loved how the author put in balance Kaden’s life before and after his visitor and how his wisdom is put to test when deciding how to act when realizing Helena’s plan. In a way, they help each other and complement one another.

Same as in book 1, we have a lot of action and great characters. But out of all 3 books in the series, this one feels the most incomplete. I wanted to see what happens with the stolen flag and even the clan’s reaction when discovering the deed. But, I cannot give less than 4 stars, as it kept me right there with every page. And let’s not forget the well-adjusted pace to the short length. Loved it!

Deception
Highland Brides of Skye Book 3

Betrothed to Lady Allison, the granddaughter of the dying MacKenzie laird,
Jacob MacKinnon stands ready to do his duty and unite their two
clans. But enemies watch, and plan to prevent the uniting of those
two powers.
After an attack on his betrothed’s carriage leaves only Lady Allison
alive, Jacob is determined to find her would-be killers.
Linnae Donald is a lowly serving girl. How is she supposed to tell Laird
MacKenzie that the granddaughter he’s mistaken her for died when
their carriage was attacked?
She can’t break a dying man’s heart. Neither can she do what Jacob
MacKinnon asks and help him prevent a war by pretending to be Lady
Alison…and marrying him.

 My Review

My favorite, “Deception”, tells Jacob MacKinnon and Linnae Donald’s story. Jacob is supposed to marry Lady Allison, granddaughter of the MacKenzie laird. But an unfortunate event leaves Linnae as the only survivor of Lady Allisson’s carriage. Now Jacob is torn between lying to an old dying friend to ensure his peaceful departure from life or telling the truth.

Honor is the word that follows the events in this book. There are no silly complications, there are no naïve characters. We have a strong leader, an intelligent ruler and a woman trying to do right by her dead Lady. I loved how they came to appreciate one another, I loved Linnae’s devotion and I loved old MacKenzie’s plan!  This book made me smile and so much more!

I loved every page and again I loved the balance between plot and short length. 5 stars!

Series – Overall

All three books in “Highland Brides of Skye Series” have a relation. The women in these books are tight to the enemy clan and are sisters, each with an inclination to something (except Linnae, who proves to be the most amazing one). The author maintained the accent and behavior of the times and I loved that, even if it was a bit difficult to read some expressions.  This is a great series and if you are in the mood for something quick, pick these ones up!  I’ll have to check which book is the one that follows the clans ’story…

Book Review: Flip The Beat

Flip the Beat

Evan Castle.

hasn’t given up on her, might be the man of her dreams after all.

My Review

It’s my second time reading “Flip the Beat”. I’ve realized my opinion is almost the same, although now I do have a lot more things to comment on. My rating will not change much though.

The book brings us Molly and Evan. Two different people that decided to spend one night together. That night was a special one for Molly, since it was her first time. Since then, they have remained best friends, with no coming back to those events. All is well in the world until she is pushed into Evan’s arms once again. But will she be able to trust him, with Evan being a rock star and all that? That remains to be discovered by you guys!

I loved the pace of the story until chapter 6 or 7. Towards the end, the pace is growing and all the secrets are revealed all at once almost. That bothered me a little, but since this is a short story I can understand it. We have some very hot scenes there. The passion is screaming to be released between those two. Also, I liked how they complemented each other – where she is uncertain, he is well on his feet and knows exactly what she wants.

As for the characters, I liked them both. I liked Molly’s best friend as well, but I didn’t get the life coach aspect. That man didn’t do much, except for spending some money for her benefit. I think this character could have been better shaped.

All in all, I am giving 3.5 stars to “Flip the Beat”. Istill believe this is a good book, with funny moments and lots of hot moments. A quick read, perfect for summer. I hope you’ll enjoy it and have fun!

My Review

Coming home always brings back memories and sometimes we have the chance to do it all over again. That’s what happens to Katie and Alex. They have the chance to start something beautiful, but this means Alex will have to prove he’s here to stay and Katie has to make room for this old love into her heart and plans.

I loved the story very much. Even from the start, the characters’ honesty is very vivid. Katie is back in town to attend her uncle’s funeral. She is honest when it comes to her feelings towards her relatives and her surprise at seeing Alex is genuine. He, on the other hand, is struck with grief at loosing another comrade. Though his injury is keeping him away from army, he still feels it as part of his soul. When they finally meet, their hesitation is so palpable. Kirsten Fullmer did a wonderful job expressing their emotions and capturing every feeling in words.

So we have established that the romance and the characters were very well created. Except that, we see a woman trying to start a business and we see her put her mind to it. We have meddling people, the kind that will put their nose into other’s lives. But it makes the story fun and alive. I liked their “contribution” and it provides that small town feeling.

All in all, I liked this book quite a lot. The reason for not giving all my stars is that there were moments where the alternation between the points of view bothered me. We see too little of one character before moving to the next. Also, I keep wondering, if Alex wouldn’t have gotten hurt, had their love found its place again?  Enjoy 🙂

Kirsten grew up in the Western US and graduated from high school in

Book Review: Bound

Bound
by Jennifer Dean
Genre: YA Paranormal Romance

When fate leads Emma Morgan back to her small hometown of Washington, she
learns that the life she knew three years ago has changed once she
meets the charmingly, mysterious Liam Alexander. But when her brother
Sean, voices his disapproval, Emma finds her loyalty in the way of
her newfound curiosity of the youngest Alexander. Only the more she
tries to avoid Liam the more she finds him in her constant company.
A risk that leads down a dangerous path once Emma begins to discover a
secret about the Alexanders that no human should ever know.

My Review

This book is right out my alley! I am in love with superpowers, witches,  immortal beings and all that the Paranormal Romance gender has to offer! And “Bound” is perfect for me! It has good quality writing, it has good characters, it has a good plot. What’s not to like?

Ok, although I admit I tend to give all the stars in the sky to Paranormal Romance books, I tend to be more critical, now that I’ve read and reviewed a few. There are small, small things that did not make me confortable reading, but these are not even worth mentioning because the bond our main character has to Liam, the bond between Emma and her brother,  are just two of the things that make this book a great one.

Emma is determined to stand by Liam, to uncover the secrets surrounding his family and she will stop at nothing to do it. And this raises her brother’s disapproval. He dislikes Liam with all his soul and he fails to give her one concrete reason. So she follows her heart and instinct. As many other readers, I found Liam a really nice guy, for a person of his kind (find out more in the book) and his affection for Emma is pure and intense.

I liked the pace of the story, I liked that it followed more than one plot and I liked the system, with the super powerful beings. I will refrain from comparing this book to others as in the end, all books are alike… they all have covers and pages and words and stories J if you enjoy this kind of romance, this book is perfect for you! I hope you give it a try. Happy reading!

I was never that child you found in the corner reading. In fact, I
loathed the idea of picking up a book. The activity seemed more of a
chore than a past time.
All that changed when my brother began talking to me about the
newest novel he was reading.Harry Potter and The Order of the
Phoenix.
Before I knew it, my curiosity got the better of
me, luring me to try the series. It didn’t take long for my mindset
of reading to turn on its head.
But even with my new hobby discovered it wasn’t until my junior
year of college that I developed a hidden desire for writing stories.
And when I found myself writing scenes instead of paying attention to
my professors, I knew becoming a writer was the career path I was
meant to follow.
