Happy Monday to all!

What am I reading this week? It’s an epic fantasy  – yes, after a lot of Romance, it feels good trying something else. I was gifted an ARC for Ryan Schuette’s book “A Seat for the Rabble” and I’ve been reading it for the past 5 days. It takes a while to get into the story, but I like it. I still have a long way to go until I finish it. I have a very beautiful quote from this book:

Sadly, the Order of Six Sights teaches its students the more tedious magic of letters and statecraft.

This was like music to my ears. How the author describes writing and politics is so beautiful! This line and another quote a little bit earlier than this one made me fall in love with the story almost from the very beginning. Writing is like magic. One can create an entire world in books and not only. There is so much freedom in front of a blank page (notebook or Word doc or whatever you prefer). It’s like you’re opening up your soul and mind to the possibilities. Your brain receives its dose of dopamine.

Politics is also an impressive art. Playing with words, finding ways to say something without actually having a message (at least this happens in my country 😀 ). I like politicians, in a crazy way I guess. Not as much as writing apparently, since I have less words to say about it. Moving on…

Yup, that’s all I have for today. Have a great week, it has just started! Let me know in the comments below what beautiful quotes you’ve discovered recently. Until next time, Happy Reading!
