This becomes a pattern… me writing again after several weeks, on a Monday! It feels logic for us to start things on a Monday, not necessarily right now, when it feels good. We wait for Monday, or the 1st of the month. Huh, human behavior… Anyway!
Happy Monday book lovers!
How is the season treating you? It’s summer in my corner of the world and so far it has been crazy hot (not that I feel it much from my corporate office but I was told so), I’ve been sick because of dehydration a few times already (I don’t get it.. I drink plenty of Coke! Please do not give me the water speech… ) so I learned the hard way that water is a must for survival. It has better taste if you add lemon (it’s even better with darkness and bubbles).
I did a lot of beta reading lately and did not manage to post as much, but I am getting into a rhythm that can help me balance all things going on at the moment. The quote of the week is one from Iron Flame by Rebecca Yarros – the one series I cannot review: The Empyrean. I love it so much and whatever I say feels not enough. I plan on relisting to the audiobooks for the 3rd time. Here goes:
Love doesn’t even have the decency to die. It just transforms into abject misery.
It is an interesting process: how things may go from one extreme to the other. Feelings are uncontrollable sometimes. We fool ourselves that we are brave, that we can withstand emotions, that we can leave them out of whatever we are doing. But it’s just a trick that we try to play to our own person. It becomes even funnier when we think love is forever. The feeling is forever, but its state often changes – to respect, affection, pain or even misery, as the lovely author mentions in her book.
I wish you a week full of beautiful emotions ) Read a lot and stay positive!
