There is no better way for me to get in the holiday spirit than reading a holiday romance. Kristin Lee has done a terrific job with Rockin’ My Muse, and if you want a short story, ideal for a one-day read, this is it for you! Rockstars, muses, and romance! Oh, what a delight!

Delilah and John had a beautiful relationship when they were teenagers. She was rich, and he was doing his best to look after his younger brother while dreaming of a music career. However, life had other plans, and they got separated. Ten years later, Delilah is in charge of bringing Blade, a rockstar band, back on top. Little did she expect the lead singer to be none other than Diesel, the boy she could never forget.

Both characters had a hard time dealing with their breakup, but somehow, love found its way back to them. Diesel’s amazing success was fueled by grief, under the covers of alcohol and drugs. Delilah took advantage of her newfound freedom in college and partied too often for comfort. Still, when the quiet life settles, they long for the lost love. Their encounter is full of emotion and their reconnection is instant. Will they allow for that moment of truth to shine? Well, go read the book and see 😊

Cover Review: I don’t really understand the full cover. I understand some of the elements – the guy with a guitar, the (apparently corporate) lady, and the Christmas ornament. But why the strange branches? Why not Christmas tree ones? Have I missed something in the story?

Even if I am not a big fan of romance novellas, simply because I’d like more time for development and more time to savor the story, I did enjoy Kristin Lee’s book. It gave me the perfect opportunity to get back into holiday books and surround myself with the Christmas spirit.
