Molly Ivers has always known she’d marry a foreign man with a delicious accent. Six months ago, in a night of unbridled passion, Molly gave her virginity to her friend and sexy-as-can-be neighbor, rocker Evan Castle. Unfortunately, thanks to his swarm of constant groupies, things didn’t work out, but they remained friends. Now, after having just broken up with her boring, run-of-the-mill, right wing boyfriend Sean, she’s on the verge of finishing her graduate degree, moving to Paris, and is desperate to shake things up!
She’s had a crush on Nicholas Sullivan, her British professor, for as long as she can remember. So when opportunity comes knocking to spice up her appearance in the form of a French life coach, she hires Jean Luc Dubois to help her let her hair down and become more Parisian and hip…to reflect the person she is within. Thanks to Jean Luc’s magic, she starts to catch her hunky English professor’s eye, but the more time she spends with Evan, the more she begins to realize that her Prince Charming might just be the one she’s known all along.
My Review
A quick and lovely read, full of passion and hot moments! Molly is trying to find the right man to start a relationship, taking into account that she will leave for Paris. She is trying to decide between her crush for professor Nicholas Sullivan and her friend and neighbor Evan Castle. While Nicholas represents her ideal candidate – responsible, with serious intentions, Evan is a rock star, with girls chasing him and probably he plays with all of them. Even if he was her first, she doesn’t trust that his feelings are based on good intentions.
Anyhow, she intends to change her life and she starts with her looks, since confidence comes from within J The book is a fast read, with action that evolves in a steady pace, no rushed ending. The characters are well developed. Molly and Evan know exactly want they want, they just have to make it work somehow. I loved the few complications and also the fact that, even if the girls were a little crazy (Nell especially), none of them were the bitchy type. Evan is a nice guy as well, he gives her all the space and time she needs to decide what is best for her.
All in all, it is a nice book, with some vivid scenes and a clean writing. Loved it, recommend it!
