My Review

I enjoyed reading this series very much. I don’t know why but the idea of mixing the supernatural with human has always attracted me. Oh, and if you add the “forever together” part, then you’ve got me!

What I mostly liked then it came to all the stories was the way the action unfolded. No rushed decisions, no silly reactions and characters that follow their own set of rules. None of them is perfect, all have their own demons to face. Each book is different than the previous one. Each king of darkness has his own particularities and all the women have their unique personalities. So you will not get bored at all by the end of book 3!

Caressed by Moonlight (Rulers of Darkness #1):

King Dorian Vlakos decides to travel to London so that the attacks on his clan would follow him and bring his people some sort of piece. His decision, even if viewed differently by others, proves to be a good one even for him personally. Until he lays eyes on Victoria Kingston, all he has in mind is how to destroy his enemies.

Victoria’s life has not been easy ever since she became an orphan, having to provide for her little sister and with no money or fortune. With these conditions, she seeks help from her aunt who conditions her to marry in order to secure her sister’s life. Her attraction to Dorian is visible and strong, but she refuses to consider him as a potential husband because of his bad reputation. Still, when she needed the most, Dorian is there to offer his help, while asking nothing in return.

Both will have to face the truth about what they mean to each other: one can bring sanity, the other death. Their passion will be their strength.

If the first part of the book is concentrated on the relationship between Dorian and Victoria, second part follows the king trying to dispose of his enemies. A great combination of love and action!

Caressed by Night (Rulers of Darkness #2):

Here we have a much more experienced ruler. I must highlight the exquisite way in which the author has built Dimitri Arasov. He emanates power, fear, confidence. Being the last remaining pure vampire, his abilities are far beyond any of his enemies and friends can imagine.

His return after four hundred years stirs awe and fear among the ones who crossed him and stole his rightful place as a ruler. Having the ability to foresee the future, he has had plenty of time to plan his revenge but also his encounter with the one fated to remain by his side.

Kerstyn is not easily scared by his dark side. She will not take any rushed decision until she is met with the same feelings. Remember when I mentioned initially about a steady action ? Together they will have to face loss, get used to a completely new world and decide if forever can be achieved.

Caressed by a Crimson Moon (Rulers of Darkness #3):

Wow! This book is madness. And I mean off the charts crazy! With Hadrian Lucretius conflicted between his sick mind and his desire to be a true and wise ruler for his people. With Eva Maldonado trying to find out who (or better what) she really is. Book 3 is absolutely fantastic. Not saying that the previous ones were not , but let’s face it. After two books about vampire kings and mates, what would you expect more?

Believe me, the third book is much more. It has hot (HOT) scenes, it shows the battle between sanity and madness. And this blew my mind, it’s like I could really feel the torment.

Author Amanda J. Green – remember the name, because she is the author of your favorite vampire series. Her exceptional writing gave life to some amazing characters. And some of the stories will follow in books 4,5,and 6 !! you will not be disappointed AT ALL.

Congratulations to the author and my apologies because I only have 5 stars to give and words like “exquisite”, “extraordinary” and “great” to describe the series!
