Even if my TBR list is getting bigger day by day, I still try to stay up to date with what my
fellow bloggers are writing or with what is trending on Goodreads or other book sites J
So I took a look on the Choice Awards for 2016, held by Goodreads as usual. I was extremely happy to see that for the Romance section the winner is one of my favorite authors: Colleen Hoover with her book βIt Ends with Usβ. I love her work, I adore her characters even though I must admit I donβt own all her books (yet). Not all are available in paperback in my country, so Iβve started looking online to order them. Anyways, back to THE WINNERS.
For the Romance area, βIt Ends with Usβ has managed to gather 59,546 votes and itβs the story of a young woman who falls in love with a good guy but she actually still loves her ex. Check the synopsis Β here. The book is quite amazing, as usual when it comes to Colleen Hoover! Second place is Robert Theirβs βStorm and Silenceβ β book one of the Storm and Silence series. I havenβt read this one, but its action is based in 19th century London, so itβs right up my alley (new book on my TBR β yey!) β Check out more about it here. Third place is Nora Roberts with βthe Obsessionβ. I love Nora Roberts just as much as Colleen Hoover. Both these authors have determined this blogβs creation, even though I havenβt posted any reviews for their stories β I feel Iβm not yet ready to emit an opinion on them, as I simply like them too much!

Note to self: write an article on how I discovered their books.
Some other winners:
- Best Fantasy: βHarry Potter and the Cursed Child β Parts One and Twoβ, 128,543 votes. I was expecting that actually. Even if I am not a big fan of Harry Potter, the series is fabulous indeed.
- Best YA Fiction: βSalt to the Seaβ by Ruta Sepetys with 29,122 votes. Jennifer L. Armentrout came second with her novel βThe Problem with Foreverβ.
- Best YA Fantasy & Science Fiction: βA Court of Mist and Furyβ by Sarah J. Maas. She also owns third place with her book βEmpire of Stormsβ. I did not have the chance to read her books yet, but this year sheβs been getting a lot of promotion and many bloggers have spoken really nice of her books. Iβll definitely give them a try! There are so many great authors in this category, I donβt even know which one to mentionβ¦
- Best Debut Goodreads Author: βRebel of the Sandsβ by Alwyn Hamilton, with 24,445 votes. Published in March 2016, it has over 3,000 reviews and a score of 3.9 stars. Books 2 and 3 are expected this year and in 2018.

There are a lot of amazing authors nominated β check all results on Goodreads here. I will definitely be more involved in this yearβs awards; this means an even bigger TBR. Anyways, congratulations to all winners and authors nominated and THANK YOU for these great books that keep us up most nights!
