Pamela Landers had it all, a senior partnership with a top law firm, expensive car, and a luxurious condo. What she desired most was a loving husband, children and a life filled with precious memories that would comfort her through her golden years.

Funny how fate has a way of steering you down that path where dreams really can come true. When Pamela encounters Gavin Templeton along her journey, she has some life-altering decisions to make that eventually lead her to happily ever after.

My Review:

[I have received a copy from the author in exchange for an honest review this has in no way out of my opinion]

A quick an easy read, this book will keep you going till the very end, with a plot that gradually increases and characters that are easy to like.

In an attempt to have some days away from work, Pamela meets Gavin and if the instant attraction wasn’t enough, Gavin has a car accident and she is the one saving his life. Here starts a rollercoaster of emotions and life altering events that will put their feelings to test.

From writing perspective, we have only Pamela’s views and we see their turmoil more from her side. We are not offered any more of Gavin’s opinions more than he is comfortable sharing. The plot evolves gradually to a major event that will change their lives. There are some scenes that were not at all believable though, especially one particular sex episode, but other than that all looks just fine.

Now, regarding the characters, I have several complaints but as well several appreciations. On one hand, I like that both characters have the same good financial position – she is a very well-known lawyer with a nice income, he’s co-owner of several businesses. Even if the attraction is obvious, they start to bond when Pamela saves Gavin’s life. Both represent some form of a new beginning. Pamela wishes for a family; Gavin wants to share his heart with someone. The internal battle that Pamela has to face at some point is very well presented. Her will and determination are as well inspiring.

On the other hand, each character has a moment of immaturity. They have several arguments, mainly due to silly misunderstandings. I believe these reactions were exaggerated and did not sit well with their personalities.

I’m struggling a little with the rating. My score would be 3.5 stars, but if I have to around it, I will offer 4 stars, but I hope the other books in the series have more attention to details and to the characters’ personalities. The writing was great; the way the plot evolved was great, but it definitely could have been better. Looking forward for the other books as well!

About the Author

I have been writing since a Crayola was placed in my hand. My love of rcythiaeading romance fiction goes back to those early years when I was raising a young family.

“I wish I could have gotten to this point in my career much sooner rather than later but, life simply got in the way far too many times. I know because of those detours I have become a more passionate and expressive writer and draw upon those moments in my past many times.
