I haven’t done a wrap up since forever! But I must get back on track, otherwise I’ll have no clue if my targets are achieved or not. So now that I’ve scolded myself enough, let’s see how my reading has been this month.
The most important thing to mention is that I’ve made a new book friend! Her name is Ami and she has started a book blog recently. So head over to her place at Shyla’s Uncensored Opinions to see what she has to say about the lovely books she’s reading. We do have different reading tastes, but her reviews are amazing and funny. We will do some articles together (I hope J ) and you will hear more about her on my blog.
Next item on my list is the new Instagram account. If you want to check how my reading day is going, in pictures, follow me there as well – @lillysbookstagram
As for reading, let’s just say I was kind of on a reading slump Most of the books on this list are audio and only a few actual books. I managed to have the reviews up for all except two, which are part of a blog tour or a promo article due in September. I did manage to catch up on some books that I’ve read earlier this year, but for which I did not find the time to write a review, so I’m happy that worked out. And more are to come this month. I have some titles which are on my backlog list and I’m hoping to be able to come back to during the following months. We’ll see.
So here is what I did manage to read this month (in chronological order):
- Anne of Green Gables (Anne of Green Gables #1) by L.M. Montgomery – in audio format
- Hooked On You (Paradise Cove #2) by Patrice Wilton – in audio format
- Anne of Avonlea (Anne of Green Gables #2) by L.M. Montgomery – in audio format
- Aranya (Shapeshifter Dragons #1) by Marc Secchia – in audio format
- Play Right By Me (Paradise Cove #3) by Patrice Wilton – in audio format
- Anne of the Island (Anne of Green Gables #3) by L.M. Montgomery – in audio format
- The Mortal Falls by Anna Durand
- Sunsets at Seaside (Sweet with Heat: Seaside Summers #4) by Addison Cole
- The Mistletoe by Patricia Catacalos
All these books have been reviewed this month, and to them I’m adding:
- Acer (No Prisoners MC #3) by Lilly Atlas – in audio format
- Cold Summer by Gwen Cole
“Acer” is part of a blog tour which will happen in September, so the review will be up then. As for “Cold Summer”, I have received this book from Sky Pony Pres, together with another title which I will be reading these days. A complete review will be up somewhere till the end of September.
That’s about it for my wrap up. I will get back to you with the best book I’ve read in August in a separate article. Till next time, let me know if you have read any of these books or if any title sounds interesting. Oh, and leave a link to your wrap up so I can go check it out as well J Happy reading!
Thank you for including me in your blog post, Beautiful!! And a lovely book friend you are indeed.
We maybe into different genres but as the old saying goes “opposites attract”. Will inspire each other to step outside our reading comfort zone and read other genres.
To many more months/years of book friendship.
Ami-May & Shyla.
