December has come and gone and with it we had our final days of 2023. I hope you had a blast! Having some days off from my corporate job has been amazing. I did a lot of reading, even if not as much as I was hoping. I know my TBR was overly ambitious, but that’s ok. I read and I finished books and for me it’s a goal achieved, maybe 70%. Still, I am content. Here’s what I managed to complete:
- Cinderella and the Duke by Lydia Drake – 4 stars (review already posted)
- If You Must Know by Jamie Beck – 4 stars (review already posted)
- Butterfly in Frost by Sylvia Day – 3.5 stars (review already posted)
- Iron Flame by Rebecca Yarros – clearly a 5 star read, pending review as I am lost for words
- A Seat for the Rabble (A King Without a Crown #1) by Ryan Schuette – pending review
- The Thief and the Historian (The Runetree Chronicles #1) by Brendan Corbett – pending review
- Cursebreakers by Madeline Nakamura – pending review
- Second Duke’s the Charm by Kate Bateman – 4 stars (review already posted)
I know, it’s significantly less than what I was planning, but considering the amount of work in organizing and writing articles that I did in between, I am reasonably content. For January so far I have 7 book reviews for which I have already a committed date (the first ones below) and I took the liberty of adding some from December, which are a must to complete in the first half of January:
- Irresistibly Dangerous by J Saman
- Hesi-Dating by Zoe Forward
- Beckett by Scarlet Avery
- Rhys by Scarlet Avery
- Phoenix by Scarlet Avery
- Back to You…: The astonishing fate of John Fisher by Richard Plourde
- It Takes a Rake by Anna Bennett
- Crushing on the Drumline Badboy by Ramona O’Cahane
- Sacrifices for Kingdoms by Patricia D’Arcy Laughlin
- Perfect In Death by Reily Garrett
I leave some room for the backlog, the NetGalley titles and I am also hoping to attend some more book tours. Let’s see what the month has in store 🙂
That’s it for now. I’ve started 2024 working on my TBR and prepping some reviews, as well as working for my sewing stuff. In less words, I’ve been working on the things I love. Let me know in the comments below what are your reading plans for this month and how you spent this first day. Until next time, Happy Reading!
Thank you for taking the time to read “Back to You… – The astonishing fate of John Fisher”. I hope you enjoy! I wish you the best for 2024!
