What happens after the Happily Ever After?
Once upon a time, a tour manager and a rock star fell in love on a tour bus.
Many months and miles later, Kate and Danny are trying to build a life together in between two jet-setting jobs in the music industry. But despite their bondage-friendly lifestyle, Kate is rope-shy once the bedroom door opens.
Secretly, she craves something more than professional satisfaction, even though she swore she’d never swap her backstage pass for a picket fence. But it’s going to take more than words for this Dom to help his self-reliant submissive realize she’s never been more free than when she’s tied down.
**This is a sequel to Playing the Pauses, not a standalone. However, you don’t have to read the rest of the series to understand these two.**

My Review
As usual, I started with the second book in the story. I have not finished “Playing her Pauses” yet, but I did read “Tie Me down” completely. It took some time to understand the background, but at some point I focused only on the current story. The first thing I noticed was the friendly tone the author has used in the conversations. Even from the start, from the first scene, I got the impression my best friends were talking about things that happened to them. And this made me easily fall into the plot.
Kate and Danny are now into a relationship, with all things considered. They have an intense intimate life, they have feelings for each other, but now they have to face an enemy which is dangerous and hard to accept sometimes: distance. Being always on the road, they have little time to spend together physically, but more time to talk, to discover parts of the other that they did not know. But most importantly, they have time to understand what they want, what they need from the partner.
The characters are mature and more about their story is included in “Playing Her Pauses”, but from what I could figure out, he is into the strong stuff, when it comes to intimate relations and she is still figuring it all out. However, the way they talk to each other, the way they behave when apart and together, lets us know how deep their feelings are. They face new roadblocks and challenges, let’s see if they make it out all right.
I liked it, I liked the writing and the feeling of comfort it gave me while reading it. However, I must admit I wanted a bit more complicated, a bit more drama. Probably because of the short length and more because I have not finished yet “Playing Her Pauses”, I craved for something more. I can’t wait to go through the other books in the series and I’m happy to have discovered another great author J
