I loved this book so much! It was more than I could have expected. Funny and serious when needed, with great characters and an amazing love story, “Unconditional” is absolutely incredible!
Maci is such a strong heroine. She is not a victim, she is not asking for pity and definitely she can stand her ground. She has learnt to live with her condition and, even if she has sealed the door to her heart, dreams are a way of making everything possible. When a stranger kisses her in the men’s bathroom, in the Australian airport, Maci’s walls tremble a little. To her surprise, the mysterious man is extremely famous… and also her colleague at uni.
Maci and Raphael have an incredible chemistry. Both are not willing to open their hearts, but the feeling has a way of slipping through the cracks. There are many things to deal with starting with fame and publicity and also Maci’s condition. Her support system, although unwanted, is great. I hope we will have books for both Heather and Brandon.
The plot keeps you on the edge of your seat. I devoured it until the very last page, interested to learn how they would put order into their chaotic lives. The writing feels natural and flows perfectly. I had fun reading it. The line between fun and mockery is well defined. I love the fact that the author pays so much attention to conditions such as Parkinson’s and treats them with the seriousness they deserve. She raises awareness as well to those around people with this disease and that I love too.
All in all, I love this book and I cannot wait to read the others from the series. Lexxie Couper is a fantastic writer and I cannot wait to read her other books as well!
Favorite Quote: “Desire the impossible to substitute the denied. Makes sense, right?”
Cover Review: I like it. I feel it misses something, but I’m not sure what. I like how the two characters are portrayed like opposites and I like the small “patch” detail on the title. Good 😊
